BvS Batmobile Diecasat

Luckily, this batmobile diecast is quite something -- nothing like the Batman Vs Superman film. Don't get me wrong, I love BvS the movie, its just that it can be better. For instance, it can do away with the long dramatic flashbacks (almost everyone knew Bruce's back story anyway)

This batmobile diecast, however, is quite good. The artwork on the card is superb even though the model car itself is not a diecast replica of the batmobile used in the BvS film. But there is something that makes this particular diecast model special -- and that is different design on each side of the vehicle.

As can be seen in the picture, one side sports Batman's logo, while it has Superman's logo on the other. In a way, the awesome design makes it up with the flaw that it is not the actual batmobile used in the film. The diecast replica of the batmobile used in the film was released by Hotwheels on its Retro entertainment line.

Fortunately, I have an extra of the Retro's BvS batmobile diecast so I was able to open one. I then put it at the extra card card that I have. Sounds confusing? Let the pictures below speak for itself. Word of caution though, the black BvS batmobile has a downside since its color blends with the black background make it harder to see (just like when Bats blends with the shadows wooohh)

Best Tumbler Batmobile Diecast

Not bad for 800 pesos. This particular Batmobile Tumbler diecast from Hotwheels is undoubtedly one, if not the best diecast rendition of the Tumbler in 1:64 scale.

As will be seen in the photos below, it is highly accurate down to the nitty gritty details. From the large tank-like rear wheels to the body armor mods designed by Lucious. Even the color scheme is perfect.

This particular Tumbler diecast comes in a sort of matte black paint and cannot be bought individually out from the box. This is because it comes in this so-called half moon packaging together with the Camouflage themed Tumbler (the one before Bruce painted it black with the now immortal expression of "Does it come in black?")

Anyway, it was fortunate that a seller sold this masterpiece for only 800 pesos at one of the local swapmeets. It has an opening cockpit, equipped with rubber tires, and quite heavy given its 1:64 scale. Mattel Hotwheels really did a great job with this one compared with other Tumbler diecast.

For instance, the one that came out as part of Hotwheels entertainment series is very much inaccurate; and so is the one that came in their regular cards.

Tomica on the other hand, made a fairly decent job. Unfortunately, the diecast is pretty small making it awkward when compared with other 1:64 diecast vehicles.

Well, there you have it folks. The best diecast rendition of the Tumbler batmobile in 1:64 scale. Enjoy the pics

1989 Oil Can Batmobile Hotwheels

What we have here is another excellent batmobile diecast rendition of the 1989 batmobile used by Michael Keaton. As can be seen on the photos, this particular batmobile looks "sleeker" than the ones produced by Hotwheels in its Retro Entertainment and basic line. Humors has it that the cast used for this oil can model has been destroyed which is why Hotwheels it is different from the ones appearing now.

The packaging of this model is also awesome. Hotwheels has produced three oil can batmobiles and each package is stackable or is great when displayed side by side with each other. The other models are diecast replicas of the batmobiles used in the films Batmand and Robin and Batman Forever.

Hotwheels' oil can batmobiles comes in 1:64 scale with reflectorized back so that one can see the full angle view of the vehicle.

Hotwheels Batmobile 2Pack 1989 and Armored Batmobile

Scale--1:64
Manufacturer--Hotwheels
Movie--1989 starring Michael Keaton as Batman
Description/Review:
  • Two of the best 1:64 batmobiles ever made
  • Has amazing and accurate details down to the wheels and size (the batmobile even has a removable hood/cockpit)
  • Packaging is also nice. Comes in acrylic case, with excellent background. Even the outer carton is awesome.
  • The casting tool used for this model has apparently been destroyed which is why the 1989 batmobile in the Retro Entertainment line is different from this one
  • Now some may say that the casts of this one are the same for those used in the 100% limited edition and oil can batmobile. Unfortunately, there are some versions of the oil can that has gold accents (which is not really accurate since I doubt even Mr. Wayne wouldn't put gold rims in his Batmobile). Another drawback of the ones found on the oil can batmobile and the limited version is the shade of black. It is somewhat matte but the one used in the movie is a shiny type of black which is used for this particular batmobile model.
  • Additionally, these batmobile set is the only one that contains the cocoon or armored batmobile in 1:64 scale.
  • There are other diecast manufacturers who produced the 1989 batmobile used by Michael Keaton model but nothing comes close to comparison. For instance, the one produced by Tomica is noticeably small when compared with other 1:64 scale (not to mention that one has a lot of bootlegs)

Hotwheels Batmobile 2Pack Batman Forever Batman and Robin

The Batmobile acrylic set on the right is another excellent great product from Hotwheels. As a matter of fact, the batmobiles on the right might be classified as the best 1:64 diecast rendition of the batmobile used in the films Batman Forever and Batman and Robin

Although there are other diecast manufacturers who produced the same batmobile models, their diecast replicas fail in comparison with the ones made by Hotwheels. The ones from Tomica, for instance, are noticeably small when put side by side with other 1:64 models. The ones produced by Hasbro are, well its not even worth mentioning.

What set these models a cut above the rest is its amazing details and accurate representation - even the wheels are spot-on! And the packaging is also great. It comes in acrylic display case to ensure that the batmobile diecast remain dust and damage free. To keep it in place, the diecasts are screwed at the bottom.

The outer carton is also perfect. It somewhat acts as a cushion and as a decorative piece complete with description.
