Not bad for 800 pesos. This particular
Batmobile Tumbler diecast from Hotwheels is undoubtedly one, if not the best
diecast rendition of the Tumbler in 1:64 scale.
As will be seen in the photos below, it is
highly accurate down to the nitty gritty details. From the large tank-like rear
wheels to the body armor mods designed by Lucious. Even the color scheme is
perfect.
This particular Tumbler diecast comes in a
sort of matte black paint and cannot be bought individually out from the box.
This is because it comes in this so-called half moon packaging together with
the Camouflage themed Tumbler (the one before Bruce painted it black with the
now immortal expression of "Does it come in black?")
Anyway, it was fortunate that a seller sold
this masterpiece for only 800 pesos at one of the local swapmeets. It has an
opening cockpit, equipped with rubber tires, and quite heavy given its 1:64
scale. Mattel Hotwheels really did a great job with this one compared with
other Tumbler diecast.
For instance, the one that came out as part
of Hotwheels entertainment series is very much inaccurate; and so is the one
that came in their regular cards.
Tomica on the other hand, made a fairly decent
job. Unfortunately, the diecast is pretty small making it awkward when compared
with other 1:64 diecast vehicles.
Well, there you have it folks. The best
diecast rendition of the Tumbler batmobile in 1:64 scale. Enjoy the pics
