Hotwheels Batmobile 2Pack 1989 and Armored Batmobile

Scale--1:64
Manufacturer--Hotwheels
Movie--1989 starring Michael Keaton as Batman
Description/Review:
  • Two of the best 1:64 batmobiles ever made
  • Has amazing and accurate details down to the wheels and size (the batmobile even has a removable hood/cockpit)
  • Packaging is also nice. Comes in acrylic case, with excellent background. Even the outer carton is awesome.
  • The casting tool used for this model has apparently been destroyed which is why the 1989 batmobile in the Retro Entertainment line is different from this one
  • Now some may say that the casts of this one are the same for those used in the 100% limited edition and oil can batmobile. Unfortunately, there are some versions of the oil can that has gold accents (which is not really accurate since I doubt even Mr. Wayne wouldn't put gold rims in his Batmobile). Another drawback of the ones found on the oil can batmobile and the limited version is the shade of black. It is somewhat matte but the one used in the movie is a shiny type of black which is used for this particular batmobile model.
  • Additionally, these batmobile set is the only one that contains the cocoon or armored batmobile in 1:64 scale.
  • There are other diecast manufacturers who produced the 1989 batmobile used by Michael Keaton model but nothing comes close to comparison. For instance, the one produced by Tomica is noticeably small when compared with other 1:64 scale (not to mention that one has a lot of bootlegs)
